T has figured out that if he gets on top of the kitchen cabinets he is “rewarded” with tuna or chicken from my husband’s dinner. However, this accidently happened because he started getting up here every night right before Brian would start making his dinner. Then T made the connection that if he got up on the cabinets, he would get a treat. Us humans know this is faulty logic and a skewed interpretation of Pavlov’s salivating dog theory on positive reinforcement but now we’re stuck with T getting up here night after night. I think my husband is going to have to stop eating dinner for a while to retrain the cat.
